Grand Slamtastic in a basket!
July 10th, 2009
We had the pleasure to team up with Denny’s and hang out at one of their many locations in Hollywood, CA. The idea came from a heavy brainstorming session that took days, months, years, nanoseconds. The creative mind doesn’t work consistently, constantly. We take that back, it seems to work that way for us. We’re just kidding. That’s being cocky and we are not.
Anyways, get down to the Denny’s in Hollywood and sit in the same seats we did and feel one with aStory magazine.
This is your 1 stop roof top
July 1st, 2009
The champions at aStory came up with this roof top shoot that consisted of some models, bubbles, sparklers, photographers, stylist, a dog, a roof, and some thugs. We did all of this in one sitting/standing session that went very breezy. This was perfect because we were outside, overlooking that Los Angeles skyline and breezes are comforting. We say if you got a roof that is safe, get on it and look at these images, it’ll make you feel like you’re right there with us.

Illustrations, wits, humor, friendliness, something about 1990’s basketball players are just a few things that Will Bryant is covering. His works are, to us, ummmmmm AWESOME! That’s just one word to describe it and that’s being modest. We love us some Bryant here at the office and we don’t mean Kobe. We mean Will.
Denim Being

Stu, Stu, Studio.
Taking it to the studio is sometimes the only way to get your idea across. Sometimes there are other ways, but as far as our Denim Illustration Shoot goes, this is the only way we could think of. If you have better ideas on how we should of executed this please let us know at boom(at)astoryontheweb(dot)com. We will not redo the shoot because your idea might be better. We will simply say, “that was a better idea.” Enjoy some models. Enjoy some illustrations. Word.
Turbo Sov is the key. Unlock.

aStory magazine had the chance to do the song, dance and interview with Lady Sovereign at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on a delightful Tuesday evening. Upon arrival, we were first verbally tossed around by security, then escorted backstage, out of backstage, back to backstage then back out again. We couldn’t take all the escorting so we escorted ourselves to the bar until they were ready for our beauty. When finally ready, we rushed back stage to do a turbo interview and play one XBOX video game challenge (which we won). Check out our interview with Lady Sov…

Jose Manuel Hortelano has got those watercolors all watered up and ready to go. Need a portrait? Yeah, probably, something to send home to the family for all the trouble you caused in the past? Just kidding, you’re a diamond. Check out the very interesting works of Jose and get happy or uncomfortable, suit yourself.
