John Lautner made some cool houses, we want to live in a place called the Chemosphere. Or Bob Hope’s house would do too.

Banksy Takes Bristol

July 27th, 2009

Supposedly Banksy is from Bristol, but since no one knows who he really is Banksy could actually be a girl from Cincinnati. That’s art and how you make magic.

The illustration process is a time consuming process. We probably went through 9 different drawings before actually getting to the final cover for aStory magazine issue 1. That my friend is time consuming. But this is by no means a complaint because to have a job that allows you to draw freely is pretty dreamy. Have you ever bought 20 gallons of ice-cream and filled your bathtub with it and took a seat? That kind of dreamy. So go put on a bathing suit because it’s about to get hot in here, illustration hot.

YearningFor-Freedom

This Mexican illustrator has got us all tickled with his style of doing all things illustrative. You can sense the Mexican influence in his work just by the colors and decorative patterns. Once an Art Director and now a full on illustrator, Alberto Ceriteno is going to catch your eye and make you say, “I wish I could do that.”

Illustrations, wits, humor, friendliness, something about 1990’s basketball players are just a few things that Will Bryant is covering. His works are, to us, ummmmmm AWESOME! That’s just one word to describe it and that’s being modest. We love us some Bryant here at the office and we don’t mean Kobe. We mean Will.

DMOTE – Dead City

1 minute is all you’re going to get with this stop-motion, DMOTE clip. RVCA artist DMOTE stopped in at the RVCA headquarters to throw down—or should we say across—an art piece for everyone to touch and be happy about. You ever notice that skulls are always smiling? We do and we smile back. Also be sure to check out some of his other pieces, man’s got skills and manliness. Art.

One minute please can also mean a very small please.

JOSEWATER

Jose Manuel Hortelano has got those watercolors all watered up and ready to go. Need a portrait? Yeah, probably, something to send home to the family for all the trouble you caused in the past? Just kidding, you’re a diamond. Check out the very interesting works of Jose and get happy or uncomfortable, suit yourself.
