The Most Gourmet “Cheese!” with Nolan Hall
October 8th, 2009
The title means that Nolan Hall is a great photographer, not that he’s cheesy. Don’t get it twisted. Nolan is rad, and we bow to his trigger finger and right eye skills. We wonder if he gets nose-grease on the back of his camera from having it pressed to his face or he’s better than that.
Lisa Solberg is all arty up in here
October 5th, 2009
As an advocate for Eden and Element, Lisa Solberg is officially a sponsored artist, laminated badge and everything. Most other Element peeps have to skate and take risks with handrails and their future fertility, but Lisa just makes art. That’s just how good at arting she is. Lisa, we love you for your art, among other things. Check out the works, the words and the wisdom by tickling a couple of the buttons, links and images below.
Haunted House for Dumbies.
October 5th, 2009
With Halloween creeping up behind us, why not set up a haunted house at someone else’s house? That way, if a sugar-and-fermented-sugar-fueled rager develops you can just sit back and not worry about your black cat being mistaken for a haunted house prop. Dogs love ‘em, but cats hate parties. Read on to know. If you don’t you won’t. And that would be scary.
The art of being Lisa Alisa
September 29th, 2009
A Russian-born model-type that fluctuates between Moscow, New York and Tokyo, it’s not fair that aLisa was also blessed with so much artistic talent. The fact that aLisa’s name reminds us of aStory makes one of us cleverer than the otherer. Check out her work and her words below.
Fresh meet
September 25th, 2009
Of all the wonderful people in the world, these are the acquaintances of aStory that we consider the least unlikable and most welcome to join our entourage when we get the whole enchilada prepared. And here is a hint, a word from the wise, if you click on ‘read full story’ below you will meet a bunch of wonderful people, but they won’t meet you, they don’t even know who you are. But we do, and we love you.

Josh Cochran extraordinaire
September 24th, 2009
What can we say about Josh Cochran that hasn’t already been said? A whole lot of things: we can say he’s a Nigerian prince who needs a cash advance; we can say he’s negotiating a contract to join Lance Armstrong’s The Shack bicycle team. On second and third thought, those things haven’t already been said because they’re lies in the factual sense. We can say Josh makes us joyful with more truthiness, because we’re being honest now.
aStory Numero Duo
September 15th, 2009
Oh my goodness it is here. Is it? Oh my. It is. This is the cover.
Clearly aStory agent 002 is no longer undercover, it’s out and being spied. If you could go under 002’s cover and into its contents, you’d find heated exchanges of words with Datarock and MSTRKRFT, find out how graffiti can subsidize world travel, and how to build your own haunted house for Halloween in a foreclosed McMansion. We’ll also introduce you to some of our pretty friends we shot. But don’t try anything creepy, this isn’t MyFace. (How ’bout that, someone really built a social site called MyFace.)
Now comes the hard part: just sit in front of your computer and these stories and more magic will randomly appear on the screen each time you return to astoryontheweb.com over the next, um, sometime. DO NOT try to find aStory’s goodies on this eloquent New York male model’s website. It won’t work. That’s our secret: we have our own site.
… EWOK …
September 14th, 2009
Legally speaking, George Lucas owns all things Ewok. But that never stopped EWOK from traveling the world, painting a word George Lucas owns wherever he likes. EWOK lives outside the law. RVCA may not care about ewoks but they do care about EWOK, and that’s probably why EWOK is a large member of their Artist Network Program. Read about his international adventures after the jump.

San Francisco Sailor Jerry
September 14th, 2009

Uhhhh, it’s actually a film about the art of tattooing.
Hori Smoku Sailor Jerry is a feature length documentary exploring the roots of American tattooing through the life of its most iconoclastic figure, Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins. Considered by many the foremost tattoo artist of all time, Collins is the father of modern day tattooing, whose uncompromising lifestyle and larger than life persona made him an American legend. Through rare interviews, photographs and hours of archival footage, Hori Smoku Sailor Jerry: The Life and Times of Norman Keith Collins, explores the past, present and future of tattooing.

Disposable friend’s party
August 31st, 2009

Our dear old friend, legendary skate artist and Jackass producer Sean Cliver is having a party. It’s for his latest book that so many graphic artists will ripoff classic skate art from. Pro skater Keith Hufnagel’s HUF store is the place where the potato juice will be flowing. Last to The Dime is a rotten egg.
