Yeti – All Hustle

November 12th, 2009

This is Yeti. Yeti is 100% hustle, evidenced by her bluetooth. We always think it’s weird when people walk around the streets talking on bluetooths. We can’t tell if they’re crazy and talking to themselves, or if they’re actually very important stockbrokers.

As our idols Wayne and Garth once said about Alice Cooper… We’re not worthy!! We’re not worthy!!

What’s for desert?

reservoir

Took this photo at Trinity Lakes reservoirs in NorCal, where the state gets its water. Looking low then, and worse since. Look at the size of the boat to gauge how low it goes. Mmm, sand.

Pizza blah

October 22nd, 2009

artichoke pizza

Everyone talks about this place in NYC like it’s the cat’s meow. This was the line at 4 am. Afterward we felt like a litterbox.

What’s the hardest part about rollerblading?

October 15th, 2009

blading

Rollerblading is so square it must be hip. These kids in NYC didn’t seem to care either way. They played on this slippy step for at least 30 minutes.

Bear Grillz

bear grillz

Sad reminder that California’s state animal (it’s on the flag (and the reason UC Berkeley are the Golden Bears and UCLA are the Bruins)) is extinct. As Hamlet might say, something’s rotten in the state. We have stuffed, dead bears as props in stores, but no real ones living. Kinda like the also extinct Carolina Panthers.

Dang, that’s Bill Clinton

September 23rd, 2009

IMG00406

We went to the bathroom and came back as Bill Clinton was giving out trophies or something. Not that you can tell it’s him from the photo. Next time someone hands us courtside seats to the US Open, we’re bringing a camera and not just a phone. And this is the last of the tennis in NYC photos.

Nadal studying his balls

September 18th, 2009

nadal

A Frenchman gave us courtside seats to the US Open, where we were surrounded by the richest (if not as beautiful) people of New York City. And we only brought our cell phone, so the photos look like this while Nadal lost his semifinal match.

Smooooooooooke on the water

smoky valley

[Cough! Cough.] Fire in the sky. LA doesn’t get clouds, so must be smoke.

austin watering hole

This was an underground cave near Austin, but the roof fell. Now it’s just a swimming hole with water cascading down all around.
