05 – The Plastiscines
French all-girl band the Plastiscines just dropped their second album, About Love, on Nylon Records. They wanted to design a shirt that would perfectly reflect their personalities. Who’s the raddest guitarist to rock a flying V?
Chris Shiftlet of Foo Fighters. Maybe not the raddest or the craziest, but the coolest one for sure.
Red Velvet or Chocolate cupcakes?
Chocolate cupcakes.
If you could only pick one item on your shirt to bring to a desert island with you, what would it be?
The Flying V. At least I won’t get bored cause I could play guitar.
How is it working with NYLON Records?
It’s been so great. It gave us a beautiful opportunity to see further with the band and we have the chance now to spend half our time in the States. We love it!
What advice would you give to girls who want to start a band?
Just do it. Don’t be scared of trying or doing mistakes. Always look further. Work hard and enjoy as much as you can.
What dance moves are you working on nowadays?
We’re grandmothers now. We leave the dance moves for the kids!
What was your inspiration for this shirt design?
I just wanted to do a shirt which looks like us. Something rock, a bit girly, a bit glamorous. And I had so much fun doing that so it kinda came naturally.
What can we expect to see from you in the future?
A lot. Other tours, other records, other collaborations, other t-shirts?
