04 – Bobby “Do Right”
Bobby “Do Right” Prokenpek’s figured out how to avoid doing wrong, as evidenced by this t-shirt he shot for us. For the past 3 years he’s lived in Atlanta with his Southern Belle Anna where he teaches photography and stores old furniture. He enjoys pizza (specifically CPK’s Garlic chicken pizza), cookies, ice cream, and surfing.
First of all, are designer handbags worth killing for?
Animal lovers in love with their animals don’t kill animals!
I like how all of your photos have some wacky concept — how do you get models to go along with your vision? Ya know.. how do you get a pretty girl in all white to lie under a dirty car?
It’s easier than you think… I get excited about my projects and extremely focused. I try to encourage my subjects with my energy – pull them into my passion. It doesn’t always go smoothly
You also seem to like to capture human expressions. What’s your favorite to shoot?
I like honesty in people. It’s hard to pull an expression from your subject if you can’t direct. I like to have a momentary relationship with my subjects. Everyone has personality.
Can Bobby “Do Right” ever do wrong, or are you just better than the rest of us?
Everyone of my images is wrong. I try to do better next time.
What was your inspiration for this photo?
Bad drivers in the ATL. I thought outside the box.
Why this photo rather than any of your others for this shirt?
Seemed to have a well designed composition for a girl’s shirt.
What can we expect to see from you in the future?
Covers… lots of covers! Oh, and cute little babies.
